Ingredients
- 2/3 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4-1/2 cup water
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Chocolate chips
- Walnuts, if desired
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt butter in saucepan and add brown sugar. Cool for several minutes.
- Add two eggs and vanilla to the cooled mixture, then allow to cool further.
- Sift together all dry ingredients, then add them to the saucepan and blend well. Consistency should be like brownie batter, not thin like cake batter.
- Add 1/4 to 1/2 cups of water and mix well.
- Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips (and walnuts, if desired). Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean.
