All About Mum

Baker Extraordinaire. Mother of Four. Creative Guru. 

Gail Schultz, lovingly referred to as Mum by her children, is the founder and baker of Tampa Bay's Mum Cakes Etc. With over three decades experience ranging from home entertaining and children's birthday parties to performing arts events, fundraisers, church events, and more, Gail brings whimsy, passion, and prowess to the (kitchen) table. 

Gail's baking journey originated in her mom's kitchen in Kingsville, Onatario and translated to her own home with the birth of their first daughter. Birthday parties in the Schultz household were legendary with unforgettable decor and cakes, and Halloween block parties were even more superb. By their fourth child, though, birthdays changed a bit. Gail's youngest child has severe food allergies, and so her baking mission changed and her kitchen was flooded with novel recipes to try and new food challenges to overcome. 

Over the past two decades, Gail's experience in the kitchen and with event planning and execution has grown exponentially. Gail and her husband are now empty-nesters and her dedication to her craft has only grown with the extra time they both have. And when the apron is off and the kitchen closed, Gail enjoys kayaking with her husband, exploring new campgrounds, and rocking out on her acoustic guitar. 

Gail is a kind-hearted mother with incredible skills in the kitchen who loves to share her tips and tricks with others. Follow along on this baking journey and you'll surely be just as in awe of this Mama Bear as her children and husband are.
